Fire door

I am fitting a fire door into an attached garage it has to have a 150mm step up to house.
My question is can this step be behind the fire door if I have the door at garage floor level the step would be behind the door on the house side

I can't see it making any difference. Probably worth checking with your inspector though. It might look a bit odd from the house side though don't you think? BTW its 100mm step or you can even get away with it level provided the garage floor slopes away from the door.
