I’m working on the plumbing & heating on an extension at the mo. The new boiler is positioned in the new utility room. The new gas and heating primaries for the new boiler will run from the existing house through to the new garage extension in the garage roof void (which is to be left open for storage) and then through the partional wall (thermalite block) to the utility room roof void then down to the boiler.

Question is – what ‘fire stop’ precautions do we need to use around the pipe work as they go through the above walls (copper pipe).

Cheers

its definitely worth it-i would be inclined to sleeve pipe work that passes through walls and put a heat proof silicone around it(its flexible and will take any expansion)-gas pipe work can not be sealed both ends only one end
