I plan to convert part of single storey integral garage, single block into a small living room.

The external walls I am going to insulate with insulation and stud.

Is it possible to use a stud wall instead of block between the garage and new rooms? I could use fire retardant plasterboard etc? Would this be enough with fire door?

If so the loft space is an issue as rafters run from garage door into new room. I assume this area will need separated also? Any advice on this?

Any advice would be appreciated. I plan to do most of the work myself but would prefer to diy stud if possible.

Yes you can use a stud wall with fire-check boards and yes it will need to be continuous up to the underside of the rafters with fire-stopping mineral wool etc.
