Fire surround paint.

Hi. I want to paint this horrible fire surround made up of what looks like an already factory painted main body and a porous looking beige cast back plate and lower plinth. I want to paint it just so we can get a year or more out of it so it will match the rooms new paint scheme .
Question is, can I paint it all and what with?

Hammerite do a high heat paint if you can't find a fireplace paint.

How did you do? We have exactly the same fire surround and like you we want to paint it. Did you find a product to suit?
