Hi All woke up this morning and my heating isnt on. Boiler heating light is on ,but boiler isnt doing anything.I switched on hot water at controller and boiler fired up briefly then shut down ,both hot water light and heat light are now on .I cant hear pump running .Could this be the culprit ?
do i need pump for hot water only?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated ive got 7 2 week old pups that im concerned about !
Thanks for looking

Hi Thanks for reply Yes spot on no lights on pump and 240v going to it . Looks like water has dripped from exchanger onto it !!
Next problem is sourcing a new head Grundfos HE UPM3 15-70 103
Local shop has an ALPHA head any idea if this l will this be ok ?
Thanks again Steve

If the Alpha refers to a pump fitted to a Grundfos pump with the same model markings, then yes. What does your 'local shop' assistant say? Alternatively you can buy a complete pum and just swap the head. There probably would not be that much difference in price. When you fit the new on, be sure to cover the junction box with a margarine tub, or similar. I found these very useful on Firebird Combi's
