Fireline plasterboard

Hi,

Does building regs require use of fireline (pink) plasterboard for living room ceilings.

Typical 3 bed semi arrangement, with 2 bedrooms above the 2 lounge ceilings.

Also, is it advisable to add insulation whilst the ceilings are down. If yes, what's the best/cheapest option.

And should we use 12.5mm or 9.5mm plasterboard Tapered Edge or Straight Edge. B&Q are currenly selling Non-Fireline 2400*1200*12.5mm plasterboard @ £5 each. Cheaper than the 9.5mm and the Fireline stuff !!!!
