Plasterboard thickness

Hi all,

Quick question, I've got to replace the lounge ceiling (20sqm) and I had a quick look at the plasterboard, should I use 12.5mm or 9.5mm for this?

The price difference is 30p but I think the noise insulation would be better with 12.5.

12.5 for ceilings - The thin stuff can sag over time.
Use screws, not nails.
