I am going to be removing the fireplace in my flat at some point soon and boarding up with plasterboard (don't fancy bricking up - might want it back in future).

What do I need to do about venting? The fireplace was sealed with a sheet of ply but inside is bone dry with nothing but a bit of dust and ash inside.

Thanks

Colin C

To prevent condensation forming inside the flue, you should have a vent at the bottom & a vented rain cap on the pot.
