I am fitting a multifuel stove in a builders opening and want to render the brickwork inside as its not pretty!.

Do i need a special mix as it will get very hot ? Or is sand/cement/lime OK

Thanks

I asked this here a while ago, but a local fireplace shop said a lime/cement/sand mixture of 1:1:5 would be OK for a fireplace..

Thanks, too.I was wondering meself....gonna light up tonight and finish the brickwork later in mine
