Hi,
I have found an old stone fireplace in my wall.
Stone cottage North East England built around 1890.
Does it look like it can be saved to make a nice looking feature?

Perfectly possible but it all depends on your budget and how much work and mess you want really. The red brick above the lintel will need to go, among others, and obviously needs repointing but firstly check that the crack to the right on the header is not going to be an issue as if that is bad or even goes all the way through then you have no support from the vertical right leg.
