First plastering job

I've just done my first bit of plastering. It is easier than I thought and I have a nice smooth finish, couple of rough spots but not too bad.

It was only a small area where I had replaced a wall for a shower cubilce. The probem is I didn't plan on doing two coats and I haven't got a thick enough cover to meet the beading on the external corner.

Can I do another coat on top now the plaster has dried fully? Do I need to key the surface or preapre it with anything before starting?

I used Thsitle Multi Finish if that makes a difference.

Yes I think you are probably right. I wouldn't fancy plastering an entire wall just yet.

http://www.wickes.co.uk/waterproof-pva-building-adhesive/invt/156521/[/QUOTE]waterproof pva only becomes waterproof when mixed with render i know this because i have a tub of unibond waterproof pva and i phoned henkel up to find out its waterproofing qualities, and to which they said it only becomes waterproof when its mixed with render, if its just painted on the wall on its own its behaves just like normal pva, i have, just looked up bostik website who make the wickes waterproof pva and they say its used to waterproof renders in pretty much the same way i suppose
