Hi,

My wife wants a bidet in the bathroom and there is about 3 feet of plastic waste pipe from the wc going to the main foul waste downpipe.

Is it possible to fit a bidet in between the wc and the downpipe or would there be a problem with waste from the wc flowing into the bidet as it goes past?

If not, then would a new connection have to be made into the downpipe?

Any rough idea on what this would cost to have a plumber do it?

Thanks,

Isley

you can put the waste from a bidet onto the same run as the bath and handbasin. It is just a washing basin, it just happens to be lower than most.

The horizontal pipe from the wc will be too high.

You can add a bosspipe to the stack and run it into that, you may even find a boss on the side of the branch you can use.
