I have a small cabinet in my kitchen which opens upward and is held in place by a gas strut hinge. This hinge has failed and the door won't stay up. Is there any problem in replacing it, or is it just a queation of unscrewing the screws that hold it to the door, and fitting a new one. Never fitted one before, hence this request.

No problem at all fitting these......they just unscrew from the carcass.
I get replacements from Issac Lord, and go for the stronger ones.
