Hi All.
I am fitting new doors to kitchen cabinets. The hinge (blum) that screws into door had a expanding spacer dowel (8 x 10mm) which held door hinge screws really well. I have tried to find some replacement expanding dowels of this size but unable to do so.

I have since been informed that the modern way to fix hinge to door is to hot glue hinge screw in and these spreader dowels are no longer used. It is a shame as never once has a screw come loose form door with resulting door coming loose.

Any info on the best way to securely attach hinge & screws to doors would be helpful.
Thank you.

Have you not answered your own question - pre-drill oversize hole and hot glue screw in place?
