fitted new valves but slow weeping

hi i fited some new valves to 2 radiators yesterday but i was getting some drips i had a few questions

1 can ptfe tape be used on the valve body both ends ?

2 i used the old nuts and olives on the copper pipes should i have used new

1) Yes

2) Not always but sometimes old fittings push olives further then new ones
 
The only PTFE used on rad valves is on the thread on the tail that screws into the rad.

A smear of jointing compound on the other joints is all that's needed.

Where's it weeping from?

was leaking from the nut on the copper pipe and valve body and and the other end of valve connecting to rad. adaptor end that goes into rad was fine. i have restarted the job again. this time put ptfe on all threads (both ends on valve and adaptor end and also put new nuts and olives on and the new adaptors in the rads finishing job tommorow fingers crossed its better this time thanks
