As of teatime last night when fridge door opened my wife said she heard something drop (I cant see anything) and now without applying perhaps too much force and breaking the fridge/door/hinge we cant open door more than 45 deg. New fridge fitted about 2-3 years ago.

When trying to open the door there is nothing unusual , no grinding, clicking etc, just when door gets beyond 45 deg you can feel the bending stress being put on the door/hinge etc.

Seems like it will need to be forced to get into a position to be able to take apart.

Have a left a message with the original fitter but having not spoken to him since original fit I dont know if he is still around; so I thought I'd try here for any advice.

Looks like screw has pulled free , probably falling into hinge and jamming it.
