Fitting a cat flap in a wall.

Hi, we have considered putting a cat flap in our conservatory door by getting the double glazing company to fit it in a new glass panel. However we are wondering if getting someone to fit it in the conservatory wall would be cheaper and easier. The dwarf wall also needs re-pointing so we could get this done together. Could anyone advise on how this is done and if the double glazed unit or the wall is the best option
