need to remove old bathroom radiator, alter pipework slightly then fit chrome one.I can fit it ok.but need to know if I turn combi off, stop cock off, will water come out when I just remove the old radiator by the valve,ie not having to drain the rad?
im sure I have seen a rad off without a leak on combi before.but need advice?

You need to drain down if you need to alter pipework and refill.

Drain off point below the old rad is needed.

Check out the FAQs for info. :D

As a diyer you are best draining the system to do pipework alteration , but your right by either closing the boiler isolating valves or if they are dodgy screw down the auto air vent cap then release the pressure in system a vacum is created and you can work on it with the system full
