fitting a garage light

into my garage I have 240v socket from a plug can I install a light. I have a live neutral do not need the earth as I will connect this to the plastic back box. Inside the switch a common terminal and a L1 and L2, what do I do with the neutrals??
 
Just buy a plug in light it will save you losing any sleep over it.

Well you dont connect neutrals to a switch. Ever. They go into a connector block. Lives connect to a switch.
 
Thanks Job done, Neutrals connected together and live to L1 (bulb) and common (switch)
