Hi I've just got a new bristan tap to replace my old one , the tap has these screw in copper tubes at the bottom around 11inches long . Is it OK to pull the tubes apart a little to get the push fit connectors on ?

They are soft copper and so long as you don't go mad and kink them a gentle bend is fine.
