Live in an 1950's Three Storey Council Property. Galvanised Cold Water Tank in the loft that feeds the cylinder in the 2nd Floor Cupboard for a Gas combi boiler (installed 1983/84). So the system is probably a Gravity Fed. Recently due to dripping from the tank had the faulty float valve in the loft replaced, and the downstairs flush system replaced due to continual dripping. Now it's the Kitchen taps....

About five years ago purchased the Bristan Echo Mixer Taps ( https://www.bristan.com/products/kitchen-taps?code=ec snk ef c) for the Kitchen Sink. Whilst the original plumber had to return to tighten the Tap's base, had no issues until now. Unfortunately the hot water tap is dripping, and the lever is pushed further backwards than normal. Thus decided to replace the taps, instead of replacing the cartridge. The issue is that there are complaints about the Easy-Fit system used by Bristan (https://bristan-easyfit-reviews.co.uk/ ).

Spoke to our local reputable plumbing merchants, they only stock Bristan Kitchen Mixer Taps recommended for low pressure system 0.1 - 0.4 Bar. Looked at Grohe, Franke, and Deva Taps but all have their complaints. Finally settled for Deva Newton Taps ( https://www.toolstation.com/deva-newton-mono-mixer-kitchen-tap/p30625 ), but the plumber has reservations - price. Has anyone fitted these taps or should I stay clear, or buy Bristan again. Any help or recommendation would be helpful as it's a minefield for a consumer. Budget up to £120 (sorry, money is tight). Chrome Kitchen Mixer Tap Twin Lever. For Low Pressure system. Got a Wickes, Toolstation, Screwfix nearby or order online.
