Fitting a new slider switch to cooker hood fan.

Can someone please help me with the wiring. The new switch has red or marron not sure which.
then blue,grey, white. The old wires coming from the fan is brown,red,black,white. This is for the different speeds of the fan. Which wire matches from new to old. Looking forward to hear from you.

Have you got a multimeter? How are the wires arranged on the old & new switch, in a row or some other pattern?
