Hello. I could do with a new toilet. I have a ceramic soil pipe with cemement benched up to the toilet waste.

How should I go with fitting a new toilet to such a pipe? What are my options?

Thanks.

Only really one option - the new toilet fits with an adaptor, normally called a toilet connector.

Removing the old one involves a large hammer.

Here's an excellent video from a Youtube plumbing star called Tom Plum. It shows how to remove the cement flaunching which seals the pipe to the drain's flange, without breaking the flange.

Not sure if the link is working, but if you put 'Tappy's top tip' into the Youtube search, you will find the vid.
