Fitting a Porch light

Is it possible to run a cable from a wall socket to a porch light,cutting the cable at the inside of the front door and fitting a switch?There is no other light switches nearhand any advice would be great. :confused: :confused: :confused:

You would have to run a 2.5mm from the socket outlet to a switch fused spur (FCU 5Amp) then 1.5mm to the light fitting and use the FCU as the switch.

Or

Unswitched fuse spur (5Amp) next to the socket then 1.5mm upto normal switch then to light fitting...

Happy days....
