Hi

I have a single porch light down lighter which is operated by single switch inside front door. This was installed by the builder. The cable used is a 3 core. This light is now rusted and I planned to stop using the downright however use the existing cable to power two separate wall external lights using a 3 way junction box and the same type cable? Advice please?

Thanks in advance

Hi, is the JB going to be inside? if so, I see no problems with what you suggest. Remember to use earth sleeving.

Hi DS

Many thanks.
The junction box will be positioned within the roof of the porch and lights will be external.

Yeah I will purchase earth sleeving.

This is my first electric project so apologies for questions
On the wiring all lives together in the brass screw connector, all neutrals together and all earths together?

Thanks again!

Hi, sounds as if you know what's what ! If your JB is inaccessible in the roof void you should use a maintenance free type. Wago or Hager make them.

DS
