Hello,

I have bought a replacement sashlock and I am trying to fit it on one of my exterior doors.

However, the part of the lock which goes inside the door doesn't match up evenly with the part that sits on the edge of the door. One side looks normal but the other side is a few mm out. As a result, when the lock is put into the door, the side plate on the edge doesn't sit flush. Is the sashlock faulty?

I've uploaded some photos at http://imgur.com/a/oilK3 .

Hope this question makes sense!

all I can see is photos of a lock. Show us how it looks when fitted to the door. Also of the old lock.

you can copy and paste photos into your post here if they are .jpg and not too big.
