You got an answer which given the unkown factors about your bathroom and the lights had to included the valid possiblity that electrocution was a possiblity.
 
He may not die, someone else in the bathroom may die as unsuitable equipment fitted in unsuitable areas do not differentiate between the numpty that fitted it or one of their children.
You may be ok for a while until it gets damp with condensation as their are no seals fitted, it will start to track over and cause a small fire which your smoke detectors will warn you about. Everyone leaves the house and watches it burn down. All for the sake of fitting the wrong type of fitting.

Or the damp plaster board conducts electricity from the lamp to the metal fixings of a shower curtain and the person in the bath moves the wet curtain that is hanging from the now live metal fixings.

Happened in Germany as I recall. Person survived but having cracked their head open on the tap as they fell they were never the same person due to brain damage.
