I currently have a plastic shower tray fixed on legs that you step up into.. The waste pipe runs from under the tray but above the chipboard floor and is boxed in running behind the toilet.

I want to replace the plastic tray with a ceramic one. However the ceramic trays have a much lower profile and so in order for me to get it to meet up with my waste pipe i need to build it up a little.

What would be recommended to use as a base for a ceramic tray in order to get it to the exisiting height of my current plastic tray. - about 5inches high
