I am currently renovating the house and am intending to remove the old ceramic shower tray and replace it with a more modern one. I am about to get the kitchen ceiling directly below skimmed and was intending to use the access hole to undo the waste fitting. I cannot shift it, will a plumber be able to saw it off and fit a new waste to the existing pipework once I've removed the tray? I'll be grateful for any suggestions.
Also, what is the best way to remove the tray, take a lump hammer to it?
