Ok, new kitchen has arrived but in her infinite wisdom the other half wanted to get a sink from elsewhere as she didn’t like the ones they sold.
She found one she liked which is a sink and drainer total 750 in width, sink is 550 including tap holes to side. The rest is draining board. Now I’ve just noticed that the box says minimum unit size 800 and our arrangement has a 600 wide sink base unit. To the side of the sink will be the washing machine to one and the dishwasher to the other. So WM 600, sink base unit 600, dishwasher 600 and the another 600 unit.

Surely this sink will fit as long as the sink bit is inside the base unit and the drainer will oversail the appliance. The drainer depth including frame is only about 20mm so wouldn’t even need the side cut out of the base unit

My only thought is the worktop will be spanning over the dishwasher and be partly cut away so less strength but the other side of the dishwasher is another 600 unit so the max span with the drainer in is 600 and only part of that will be cut away (150mm)
It won’t be visible with the dw in place.

This is how we used to have it albeit a thick 40mm worktop, new one is 22mm.

Would this work? Or do in need to persuade her to get a refund and find a sink that fits completely in the 600 unit?
