fitting new boiler about 6ft from an external wall

Hello,
We are having our old gas central heating boiler replaced. Siting is an issue. One of the gas engineers suggested placing it in our (large) larder and running the flue approx 2 metres to the outside wall. Are there any problems with exiting the flue pipe in this way?
