Hi guys

I am trying to fit a new bedroom light.

I removed the old bulb holder and was left with the following wires:

2 cables with the following wires:

1: 2 red wires, 1 green.
2: 1 red, 1 black, 1 green.

The light I am fitting is a new one with 3 wires - 1 green, 1 blue, 1 grey/brownish.

I have connected all the wires to the relevant colours with a chock block. When I tested it the light worked but I was unable to switch it off - it stayed on at all times!!!

Please can you advise on what configuration to use, the light came with a 3 chock block and 1 single chock block.

The bedroom configuration is 1 light, 1 switch and 1 cord type switch.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

It sounds as if you have a twin red switch wire, one should be connected to the single red and the other to the brown on the new fitting and the black to the blue on the new fitting. connect the two greens together with the green on the new fitting.
