Fitting Radiator Brackets Any Tips

Any tips or tricks on how to fit radiator brackets correctly first time.

Took radiator off for plastering and forgot to tell plasterer to not plaster over them so he plastered over them and I lost the screw holes :(
 
No, just careful measuring. Same as if you were renewing a radiator with one slightly different. The pipes usually move up and own a bit.
