Fitting Stand-Alone PIR Sensor To Porch Lantern

Hi,

Have moved into a new property that has an old exterior floodlight fitted with a PIR to the side of the porch.

I would like to hang a pendant lantern in the porch and have it operated by a stand-alone PIR sensor that would be fitted where the current floodlight/PIR is.

I would like the facility to turn the lantern on and off permanently as well as have it operated by the PIR sensor.

Would this possible using the exisiting wiring? or what would the wiring configuration be? and are there any stand alone PIR sensors that you could recommend?

Is there an existing switch that turns the light on and off?

If so, you need to get a Stand Alone PIR unit that has a "Pulse Over-ride" feature.

Install the PIR at the existing location. Then you will need to run a cable from there to your porch. That's it…….
