Hi all. I am building a 'home cinema' and have fitted a rope light behind my tv. The rope light plugs into the plug socket behind the tv, but it's a pain pulling out the tv every time to put on the light. I have bought myself a single switch to put on the wall and want to put this between the light and the plug. It has 'common, 1 Way, 2Way' conections. My light has just a brown and a blue wire runing through it. Could you tell me what wire needs to go into what conection please? Many thanks.

Brown in from plug in common
Brown out to light in 1 way

Blue neutrals jointed together safely in a connecter block or crimped together, and insulated within the switch box
Earths if you had them would also join together

As you have no earth the switch and box must be plastic NOT metal
