I am currently fitting a close coupled toilet in the bathroom.
Most infomration I have seen about fitting indicates that normalyl you would screw the pedestal to the floor, and the cistern to the wall, however the cistern on my loo has no screw holes in the back of it.
Is this normal?
Does it just sit against the tiles then?
Would it be normal to then run sealent around the endges of the cistern where it meets the wall, or perhaps just put some 'blobs' between the cistern and the wall? I'm just concerned that with no fixings the cistern may kncok against the tiles if it isn't perfectly against them?

Thanks :)

quite normal on alot of cisterns. yes it'll just sit against wall.

never useally an issue with it knocking against wall unless the pans not secure to the floor.

Thanks for your prompt reply, so no need to seal it to the wall at all?

Excellent, the less I have to do with that manky gets-everywhere silicone sealent the better!
