Fitting TRV To Towel Rad Question

I'm fitting a new bathroom chrome ladder towel rail. I'm using straight TRVs, so that the pipes go down to the skirting vertically.

When I fit the TRV, is it best to have the TRV head under the rad, or sticking out to the side? Which way is best to make the trv work properly?

doesn't really matter. I usually fit them inwards more for practically, so it don't get damaged.

out to the side helps stop it getting warmed by the rad
