I have two sets of 3 low voltage halogen spots that run off their own transformers to fit in the lounge. When I tried to connect both sets they are dull. how do I connect them both so that they are bright and work off the one switch? Do I just have to spur seperately and incorporate the switch?

you wired them in series,

for example

assume each transformer has one brown and one blue wire for the mains side, the mains incoming is red and black

you did
redbrown bluebrownblue black

you should do this

redbrown brown blue blue black

so you have both browns connected to the red, and both blues connected to the black

this is called wiring in parallel
