Can anyone help?
I have a kitchen to decorate which has just been fitted with new units. On removing the old units the fitters found a hoe in the brickwork where in old air vent was. I cant access the hole from the other side and was wandering the best way to fill the hole ready for lining and painting. The hole is about 6" x 3".

Many thanks

Jam a suitably-sized piece of wood in the hole just below surface level then apply a filler such as Tetrion or Easifill up to the wall level ..Once the lining papers covered it you wont know its there ;)

I would cement a brick back in - then Eas-fil after as LJW61 says..

I prefer to do "like for like" just in case there's an expansion issue and the timber shrinks or expands causing some cracking ?

But each to there own.
