Hi

I am planning on laying https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/Egg...Resistant-(P5)-18mm-x-2400mm-x-600mm/p/323194 to create a level subfloor in the conservatory - the screed isn't terriblly uneven just a little bit too uneven for the planned laminate flooring. The previous flooring (not laid by me!) Was fibreboard underlay with double layer of laminate, so the chipboard will also raise the floor level back close to where it was.

We've never had any damp issues in the 5+ years we've lived here, and the base has been down longer than that.

I am unsure how best to fit it, I feel like leaving it as floating will make for a noisier overall area - a builder acquaintance had mentioned in passing putting lots of dabs of silicone to effectively create little feet for it to sit on (but we moved on to other non-diy stuff so I didn't get to clarify exactly what he meant) other advise suggested fixing it to the screed.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks.

You could glue together with D4 glue , I would start with 3/4 (depending on room size)boards glued together while leaning against wall , then lower these to floor over expanding foam adhesive. This will fill any small voids and prevent movement . You can then add further boards to complete the floor .Ideally allow glue to set for each board before adding next to avoid distorting floor level.
Stagger all joints .
