Just taken up laminate flooring in the bedroom to redecorate and eventually new floor. The underlay is fibreboard which I have kept on for the time being.
I will remove a portion of this new allow for new fitted wardrobes next week.
A hole has already been formed in one as it seems where the old external wall (bedroom is an extension) is parts of chipboard floor boards is missing. A small length of about 800 x 30mm. This will need to be fixed as you can see exposed pipework.
In the existing part non extension (same room) there are two layers of fibreboard assuming for leveling purposes. Is this acceptable? Could I keep the fibreboard with carpet underlay on top followed by carpet or will the fibreboard need to come up which will create extra leveling of the room .
Thanks
