Is it possible to fix a jammed window yourself or does it require a pro? The window is a Safestyle uPVC window. It has a faulty mechanism so doesn't open.
One company quoted £96 to fix it. Is that price steep?

It's possible to fix almost anything yourself, if you have the required skills. Given you're asking the question maybe indicates you'd be better letting an expert carry out the repair, otherwise you might make things worse.
Having said that it depends what the fault is etc. You've not given folk much to go on other than 'it's jammed.' A bit more detail and maybe a pic or two would help.
The type of uPVC window it is, the handle is at the bottom of the window in the middle.
The handle opens okay, but the window is jammed and won't open. When pushing it, there is some slight movement on the left side of the window, but on the right it seems to be jammed the most.
AS RAndom Grinch says , classic stuick shootbolt , will need deglazing , wedging out the corner that moves and pushing a scraper in the end that doesn't , it should then pop open , you'll then probably need to buy a new ' gearbox ' as chances are it is coming apart , which has created the issue....honestly £96 is a good price to fix it , and takes away all the hassle if something goes wrong
