Fixing the button on a waste disposal unit help

Hi all!

I have a waste disposal unit and the button is the plastic push type on the sink unit, now I am no expert but it looks like some sort of vacuumed switch? As it has a tube from the switch to the unit.

Now the switch when pressed takes ages to move and come back up, any ideas on how to fix it? Do the vacuums go on these??

False alarm! Mate came over unscrewed it gave it a clean and it works like new lol!
