What do people use for this?

I'm building a timber stud fake chimney breast attached to standard dot and dab plasterboard on to hollow concrete blocks...

Was recommended concrete screws but they were rubbish... Maybe I shouldn't have used an impact driver?

I've resorted to frame fixings which are right length to go into the block, but not so long as to expand in the void, but was wondering if there's a better option

Sorry, I know it's a late reply. You've probably finished by now!
Core fix is often recommended for dot and dab...

But, with a decent stud wall, fixings into the floor and ceiling should probably be sufficient.

Been recommended them before, but forgot about them!

The frame fixings have done the job this time!
