Hi chaps,
Just ordering my gear to start my extension roof next week, and would like to double check a few things if that’s ok.

1) what size nails for the battens?
Am I right in thinking 65mm aluminium and if so do they they need to be clout nails or round nails etc.
And do they need to be sheradised or ring nail or anything like that?

2) plain concrete tiles are to be used, so was thinking 50 x 3.35mm aluminium clout nails?

3) what size rafter tray? I’ve seen 400mm is that suffice?

Thanks in advance

65mm round wire galv for batons, 50mm should do for your tiles but the manufacturer will have the technical advice on their web site. I'm not sure if you mean felt support trays, the ones I get are 1.5m x 200mm ish

Rafter trays need to extend far enough to prevent the roof insulation obstructing air flow at the roof to wall intersection. It depends on the thickness of insulation.
