Hi i have a 99 BMW 316 compact, car was off the road for a year and sitting up in my driveway and in the year i only started it up a hand full of times. I went to start it up today for the first time in about 4 or 5 months battery was totally flat, i have jump leads connected them up to my car and another car my car started up fine after about 10mins but when i dissconnected them and turned off my ignition my car did not start when i tryed starting car again. If i connect jump leads up again and leave the other car running for a good while will it charge my battery up fully so it will be able to start on its own or will i just have to replace battery? :? Thanks

It's more than likely that your battery won't accept a charge now. It's time to get a new one.

Battery useless, as the plates have sulphated up, time to fork out for a new battery.
