Hello,

Can anyone suggest a way of insulating my flat roof which has no insulation and is just leaking out any heat in our living room?

I'm hoping there is a way that it can be done without too much work, but i'm guessing there is not easy way!

Thanks

Simon

Either take the ceiling down, or the roof of.
I dont think you would be lucky enough, to be able to remove the facia boards ( if the roof timbers run the right way ) and push some celotex in, probaby noggins in the way.

Yeah I guessed that might be the case. Even though it will save me money in the long run I just cannot afford that at the moment :(

i've a simalar probelm, on my dormer roofs, don't want to put up all the felt and boards or take ceiling down, i was hopeing that i could pump foam in by taking off the facia boards, its about 3 mts deep so i don't really think its possible
anyone got any suggestions please

+1 for the inverted roof reply

Basically insulation laid over the waterproofing element and retained by paving / gravel of sufficient weight to resist wind uplift
