I am about to start building a shed and am planning the roof. I have decided on a flat (1 in 12 pitch) roof with 18m OSB boarding and EDPM on that.

The shed with be 2.4m across and I live in a light snow area.

I am planning to have a doubled up wall plate made of 2 2X4s.

The verticals posts will be 2X4 at 40m centres.

Therefore the span distance is 2.2m.

According to the tables, for this pitch, I can only use 2X6 rafters. And according to the tables I can have them at 600m centres.

I am glad I checked the tables because I was planning on using 2X4 - oops.

These are the tables I used.

Have I read these correctly?

Thanks
