Hi,
I'm looking for some advice, since this morning all the upstairs lights flicker when they are switched on. They flicker for only a few seconds before settling down and become stable. The lights (different circuit) are fine when they are switched on. Table lamps are also ok.
Before I start lifting carpets and floorboards, I was wondering if anyone might have some pointers?
My initial thought is there is a connection issue?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks everyone.

First port of call is to look at loose connections within accessories.
Look at consumer unit connections first, then would depend how your lights are wired for where to start, but I generally go for switches in the rooms where lights flicker but could be at ceiling rose also.
Isolate the circuit before removing covers!

It's most likely a problem at the first 'faulty' light or switch, or at the last 'good' fitting on the circuit - assuming you know how the lighting is cabled....
