Flickering lights

At the weekend, our kids were having a shower, well to cut a long story, water ended up all over the bathroom floor, and started to leak down into the lounge, through the ceiling fan. We have not turned the lights on for 3 days (used lamp) tried them tonight, and all three of them flicker and buzz. the fan works ok, just the lights flicker and buzz. they are not on a dimmer, just switched. Any ideas. Surely the water could not have made a loose connection.
 
no, but it will have filled any cavities in the fitting, take it down and have a look
